Dog Trainer
Hi All. I recently bought a dog tunnel to add to my dog´s backyard agility course. I found that I just don´t want to use it. Anybody that trains dogs is welcome to it. It measures 2m long and has a 60cm opening. Brand new.
Also, what do you use for dog "treats" when training? I have been buying little bags of various biscuits but mostly are too big for a "treat". I don´t want to "feed her" when training--- just "treat" her. Some are a good small size, but way too expensive for ongoing training sessions. Cutting the larger ones down to size has become too much of a daily chore!
Any advice welcomed

Re: Dog Trainer
Maybe buy a bag of Chihuahua sized dog food?

A dog trainer friend told me that what makes it a treat is that it comes from your hand, not from what it is. So, individual kibbles are fine. She recommended using some “high value” treats for more difficult lessons or as a reward at the end of training sessions. I would dice up cheap hot dogs. You can use them raw or microwave the bits between paper towels until “done.”

The treats I buy for my dog are the Barky's Jerky sticks. I buy the large bag they sell at Costco, seems pricey, but lasts a long time. I keep the large bag in the freezer, and just refill a smaller bag I keep in the fridge. They are super easy to just break a little piece off of. My dog hates having her nails clipped, so she gets a little piece for each nail she lets me cut.
