A Trip Down Memory Lane at Jardin Plaza Restaurant

This was the first place we ate at on our first visit in 2007.  It tasted just as good today.

Chicken Curry Salad.  While it comes with toasted bolillo, it sits on a wonderful fried flour tortilla that really needs to be eaten before it gets soggy...it's terrific.  I end up taking the bread and 1/2 the salad home.  

The menu lists a "Shrimp Sandwich" with no description.  The big surprise is that it's shrimp and mayo inside bread that is soaked in an egg batter, then pressed into cornflakes and finally, deep fried.  It's so unexpected, yet so damn good. Their french fries are crisp and came out piping hot.  

I had a glass of Pinot Grigio (not house wine) and my partner had an Agua Mineral.  Total tab was 385p. The wine was 70, the agua 35, the sandwich was 130 and the salad was 150.  

Their food is consistently good and their prices are some of the best in town. It's no wonder they have been around for such a long time. We always take guests there at least once during their visit.
